The Onyx project was launched in 2007 with the main aim of creating original furniture designs using renewable materials and environmentally friendly production techniques. Its chief priority is to find alternatives to traditional industrial production, by carefully selecting raw materials from controlled sources, seeking out natural products for dyes, replacing synthetic foam with natural latex in cushions, and so on.
The Bulb Onyx armchair stands out for both its design and its functionality, as it incorporates an integrated LED light in such a creative way that you can’t help but love it! The moment you see it, you automatically picture yourself reading your favourite book in it.

The Bulb Onyx armchair really does resemble what its name says (a bulb, in the botanical sense), and it also incorporates a bulb of the other kind: a light bulb.
Its design was inspired by the Belgian designer GAËTAN VAN DE WYER, and it is manufactured by ONYX in Thailand.
It is made from natural rattan, water and hyacinth bulbs, materials that resemble bamboo but are more flexible and elastic.
