It has already been a year since www.design-district.gr stopped being an idea on paper for the Design District team and became, we like to hope, a much-loved online destination for all of you who love design, decoration, art and architecture!
When we were designing Design District, our ambition was that every visit would give you the feeling of wandering through an unfamiliar city, trying to sense its rhythms, and suddenly arriving in a neighbourhood whose “personality” catches your interest.
We had imagined an “online neighbourhood” where around every corner you would have the chance to discover something different… buildings with distinctive architecture, spaces whose interiors charm you, shop windows full of original objects, lots of small, unique boutiques, original restaurants, bars with a point of view, places that would make you stop and give them your time and attention…
The fact that this week marks one year of sharing the Design District “neighbourhood” with you is certainly a reason to celebrate.
The “ultimate” reason to celebrate, however, would be if the tens of thousands of friends who have visited www.design-district.gr really did feel something similar!
